Corfu is the second largest island in the group of Ionian sea and was the first to open itself up to tourism with plenty to offer its

Corfu is known as Kerkyra in Greek and takes its name from a variation of the Nymph Korkyra, daughter of the Greek god Aesopos
in ancient mythology. The island of Corfu has been described as the Emerald Isle and the Garden of Eden.

The beaches in Corfu isle are pebbly and sandy and many slope gently into the sea. The secluded coves and clear blue waters have
made the island a particular favourite with families. Most beaches are equipped with waterside tavernas, beachside shops,
with pedalos and sun loungers for hire. Corfu is full of variety from its traditional fishing villages to its large modern resorts, coupled
with its amazing wildlife (over than six hundred types of wild flowers!!!). This island has something for everyone!
